Gymnastics Begins Busy Weekend with Quad Meet at Temple
The Purple Knights tallied a team score of 191.875.
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – In the first of two meets this weekend, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics team tallied a score of 191.875 at Temple University on Friday night. The Purple Knights' mark came in a quad meet against the host Owls, Southern Connecticut State and Ursinus.

*Bridgeport's score on Friday night marks their fifth meet this season with more than 191 points. In comparison, the Purple Knights surpassed 191 on eight occasions last year. UB still has six competitions left in the regular season.
UB Event Scores – Vault (48.750) | Bars (47.625) | Beam (47.200) | Floor (48.300)
Vault served as UB's top event as a trio of Purple Knights finished in the top-6 individually. Sophomore Abigail Kenney led the way with a 9.850 to place third while freshman Nova Staruk posted a 9.800 to finish fifth.
Sophomore Lola Sepulveda joined in with a score of 9.775 to tie for sixth on vault.
Sepulveda and Kenney also piloted Bridgeport in the floor exercise. The sophomore duo registered respective marks of 9.775 and 9.725 to place fourth and eighth.
Kenney's terrific night also featured a 9.700 on beam en route to an all-around score of 38.500. Sepulveda followed Kenney on the beam with a mark of 9.625.
Sepulveda finished with the top mark in the all-around on Friday with a tally of 38.700.
Samantha Nokes and Emily Hernandez also recorded top-10 marks on Friday. Nokes finished sixth in the bars (9.700) while Hernandez came in ninth in the same event (9.600).

Bridgeport will compete in the All-American Challenge on Monday at Mohegan Sun. The Purple Knights are scheduled to begin their events at 4 p.m.
