Gymnastics Finishes Fourth in Meet at Penn
Nova Staruk tied for the highest score of any competitor on vault (9.825).
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Beginning a stretch of five consecutive road competitions, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics team registered a score of 191.225 during a quad meet at the University of Pennsylvania on Sunday.

*Bridgeport has now eclipsed 191 points in three of their first four meets this season.

Sophomore Lola Sepulveda was once again in terrific form. The Virginia native finished third in the all-around with a mark of 38.200. Sepulveda had previously recorded a career-high mark (39.225) in the all-around last weekend.
Sepulveda was especially impressive on floor. She tied for the highest score of all competitors on Sunday with a tally of 9.850.
Sepulveda also finished seventh on vault (9.725) and eighth on bars (9.725).
Freshman Nova Staruk earned a top mark as well on Sunday as she tied for the highest score on vault (9.825).
Collectively speaking, the Purple Knights' top scores came in form of matching results (48.625) on bars and floor.
In fact, Emily Hernandez (9.750), Catherine Aucoin (9.750), Samantha Nokes (9.725) and Sepulveda (9.725) all finished in the top-10 individually on bars.
Another notable score on Sunday came from sophomore Abigail Kenney, who registered a tally of 9.8 on floor to tie for fifth.
