Gymnastics Falls in Dual Meet at Cornell

Ithaca, N.Y. – Hitting the road for the second straight weekend, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics team was defeated in a dual match at Cornell on Sunday by a score of 190.825-189.850.

Individual Highlights
The balance beam provided the Purple Knights with the most success on Sunday. Junior Olivia Imbarlina and senior Hannah Barry piloted the event for Bridgeport as they each tallied a team-high score of 9.725.
Sophomore Lola Sepulveda earned the Purple Knights' highest mark of the day with a 9.800 in the floor exercise. Junior Catherine Aucoin and freshman Nova Staruk were also solid in the event, following with identical scores of 9.650.
Freshman Emily Hernandez and senior Kieran Ross served as Bridgeport's top scorers on the uneven bars and on vault. Hernandez earned a mark of 9.625 (bars) while Ross posted a score of 9.575 (vault).
UP NEXT
The Purple Knights will host their first meet of the season on Friday afternoon (Jan.26). Bridgeport welcomes Ursinus College, Rhode Island College and the University of Alaska to town.
