UB Gymnasts Shine In USAG Individual Event Finals To Wrap Up 2022 Season
Kathryn Doran Takes Second On the Beam And Third On The Bars Plus Olivia Imbarlina Ties For Fourth On The Beam
Ithaca, N.Y.-The 2022 University of Bridgeport gymnastic season came to a close on Sunday with the USAG Individual Event Finals, and standout senior Kathryn Doran (Oakville, Ontario, Canada) closed out her UB career in fine style, and freshman Olivia Imbarlina (Pittsburgh, Pa.) turned in a top-notch performance in the competition hosted by Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
Doran posted a career-high score of a 9.990 on the balance beam to second place in the event, and Imbarlina was strong in the same event scoring a 9.825, which put her in a fourth place tie.
On the bars, Kat had her usual spectacular, high-flying performance scoring a 9.900 in her signature event, which put her in third place.
Also this weekend at the2022 USAG National Championship Meet, UB senior Nicole Javinett (Marlboro, N.Y.) earned Second Team USAG All-American honors for performance on the balance beam on Friday.
