McBride of Women's Basketball Named to CACC All-Conference Third Team
Posted averages of 11.7 points and 9.8 rebounds across 26 games; Led the CACC in blocks per game (2.1)
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Stephanie McBride of the University of Bridgeport women's basketball team has been selected to the 2023-24 CACC All-Conference Third Team as announced by the league on Tuesday morning.
McBride, who was also a third-teamer last season, has put together a sensational senior year. The Brooklyn native posted averages of 11.7 points and 9.8 rebounds across 26 games of work. She also led the CACC in blocks per game (2.1) while accumulating 10 double-doubles.
McBride grabbed 15 or more rebounds in five games while also reaching the 20-point mark on five occasions. McBride scored her 1,000th career point against Bloomfield on Feb. 28 to become just the 15th player in program history to hit the 1K mark.
McBride's best game of the year came in UB's season opener when she racked up 21 points, 17 rebounds and two blocks against the College of Staten Island.
With a playoff game looming tonight, she currently stands with 1,022 career points, 876 career rebounds and 169 career blocks.
