West Babylon, N.Y.-University of Bridgeport senior Samnell Vonleh (Swampscott, Mass.) has been selected as the East Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her fine play in games that took place from February 4 through 10, 2019. This is the third time this season that Vonleh has been recognized by the ECC, as she has been recognized two times earlier this season as the ECC's Defensive Player of the Week.
In her team's only game last week, she was simply dominant helping the Purple Knights to a 74-63 victory at Mercy College, as she recorded an impressive double-double with game-highs points with 24 and rebounds with 15. Vonleh also blocked five shots and recorded a steal in the game.
