Amherst, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's basketball team wrapped up its weekend trip to Western New York on Saturday afternoon with a 75-65 East Coast Conference loss at Daemen College. UB is now 2-12 overall and 0-6 in conference play. The host Wildcats up their overall mark 6-5, and they are 3-2 in the ECC.
Seniors Jennifer Kucukkaya (Sodertalje, Sweden) hit four three-pointers and totaled a game-best 20 points and seven assists for the Purple Knights, and classmate Tiara Aziz (Easton, Pa.) added 17 points for UB.
Bridgeport freshman Morgen Caution (Baltimore, Md.) grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.
Shy Britton led three Daemen players in double figures with 16 points.
The UB women's basketball team returns home for its next game when the Purple Knights host the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds this Wednesday, January 14 at 5:00 p.m. in Hubbell Gym.
