Clermont, Fla.-The University of Bridgeport softball team wrapped up its annual Spring Break trip to Florida on Friday evening with a pair of games against the Warriors of Merrimack College, and unfortunately for UB fans, the Purple Knights lost twice, falling 6-1 and 4-2. UB now heads north with a 5-9 record. Merrimack is now 5-8 overall.
The Bridgeport softball team is next scheduled to be in action on Tuesday afternoon in Seaside Park, when the Purple Knights are slated to open both their 2016 home and East Coast Conference schedules against the Mercy College Mavericks. Action is slated to begin at 2:30 p.m.
