Cross Country Teams Open 2014 Season At LIU Post Invitational

Brookville, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport cross country teams opened their 2014 season on Saturday at the LIU Post Invitational on Long Island.  The UB women finished in 16th place, and the men were 14th.

For the Bridgeport women, sophomore Tiffany Eberhart (Jackson, N.J.) was the Purple Knights' top finisher covering the 5K course in a time of 23:00.99 which was good for 63rd scoring place.

On the men's side, senior Naqwan Crowell (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) was the team's top finisher with a time of 29:37.97 over the 8K course which put him in 57th scoring place.

The Bridgeport cross country teams will next be in action on Saturday, October 4 at the NJIT Highlander Invitational.
