Cross Country Teams Compete At Fairfield's 36th Annual Father Leeber SJ Invitational
Women Take Sixth; Men Finish Seventh
Fairfield, Conn.- The University of Bridgeport men's and women's cross teams were in action at the 36th Annual Father Leeber SJ Invitational hosted by Fairfield University on Saturday morning and the men took seventh place; while the women's team was sixth.
For the men, sophomore Adam Glantz (Helsginborg, Sweden) was the team's top finisher covering the 8K course in a time of 31:45 which was good for 42nd scoring place. Senior Dave Clarkin (Coventry, R.I.) was the next UB male finisher in a time of 32:17 which was good for the 43rd scoring place.
On the women's side, graduate student Anna Krasnowska (Kedzierzyn-Kozie, Poland) was the team's best runner for the second straight meet turning in a time of 24:04 for the 5K which was good enough for 34th scoring place. Junior Stephanie Pearce (Surrey, England) was the next UB woman across the finish line with a time of 24:33 to take the 35th scoring place.
Both UB cross country teams return to the course this Wednesday, September 26, at Post University.
