Panzera's 2nd Place Performance Highlights Day One of CACC Track and Field Championships
The rookie finished second in the pole vault (first-team All-CACC) with a PR mark of 3.67m.
LAKEWOOD, N.J. – On the first day of the CACC's Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the University of Bridgeport had a pair of student-athletes enjoy solid performances on Saturday.
John Panzera shined in his first-ever conference championship meet. The rookie's most notable moment was when he finished second in the pole vault (first-team All-CACC) with a PR mark of 3.67m.
Panzera also put together a stellar outing in the 110-hurdles prelims. The Haddam, Conn. native posted a school-record time of 15.96. He is currently ranked 6th heading into tomorrow's final.
Fellow rookie Nick Migliarese recorded a nice showing in the hammer throw. The Florida native finished eighth in the event with a toss of 34.20.
