Bio

Greg Langston joins the University of Bridgeport men's basketball staff as an assistant coach in 2022 after coaching Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida . A former standout under Moccasin head coach Mike Donnelly at Southern Connecticut State, Langston has also coached at Fairfield prep and Darien High Schools and in the AAU circuit with Connecticut Elite and High Rise Elite.

He has also taught at Bridgeport Public and Bullard Havens Technical High Schools and served on staff at both the Sacred Heart Nike Basketball Camp and the Sydney Johnson Basketball Camp.

An all-American at Southern Connecticut State, Langston was a three-time all-NE10 selection, winning NE10 Player of the Year honors as a senior. As a senior in 2013-14, he earned all-America honors from four different organizations and led the Owls to a 30-3 record and an appearance in the NCAA Elite Eight.

Langston finished his career at SCSU with 1,890 points, good for third in program history, and also ranks among the top 10 in school history in rebounds, steals, three-pointers made/attempted, and field goals made/attempted. After finishing his collegiate career, Langston spent one season playing professionally in Spain.

Originally from Stratford, Conn., Langston is a 2014 graduate of Southern Connecticut State, holding a bachelor’s degree in sports and fitness administration.
