Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team's offense was as cold as the snow outside Hubbell Gym on Saturday afternoon, as the Purple Knights shot a team season-low 29.3 percent from the floor (22-of-75), as UB fell to the visiting Stonehill College Skyhawks, 78-62, to a non-conference contest. Bridgeport is now 9-4 overall, and Stonehill raises its season mark to 6-5.
Junior Dennis Green (Bronx, N.Y.) led the Purple Knights in scoring with season-high 16 points. Green was joined in double digits by classmate D'Vonne Trumbo (Pilesgrove, N.J.) with 10 points. Trumbo also tied for the team lead in rebounds with seven along with sophomore Bakary Camara (Harlem, N.Y,).
