UB Remains Ranked Number Four In Final NCAA Regional Men's Basketball Poll Of The Season

Indianapolis, Indiana-The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team remains ranked number four in the third and final NCAA Division II East Regional Poll of the 2014-15 season released on Wednesday afternoon. The Purple Knights take a 22-6 overall record into the 2015 East Coast Conference Championship Semifinal on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. versus either Dowling or NYIT.
The NCAA Regional Rankings are used to determine which five teams will receive at-large bids to the 2015 NCAA Division II Championship Tournament along with the three automatic qualifiers in the region, the tournament champions of the East Coast, Northeast-10 and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conferences. UB is the only team ranked from the East Coast Conferee in the Top-10; while the Northeast-10 has six teams in the Top-10 including the top three squads, and the CACC has three ranked teams.
The field of 64 for the 2015 NCAA Division II Championship Tournament will be announced at 10:30 p.m. this Sunday, March 8 at www.ncaa.com
