Men's Basketball Back In The Win Column With 86-76 ECC Victory Over Molloy
Sean Berry's 31 Points And JoJo Swift's Double-Double Help Lead Squad To The Win
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team got back in the win column on Wednesday night snapping a three-game losing streak with an 86-76 home East Coast Conference victory over the visiting Molloy College Lions. UB is now 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the ECC. Molloy falls to 2-6 overall, and the Lions are also 1-1 in conference action.
Junior Sean Berry (Irvington, N.J.) led Bridgeport with an impressive 31 points, a personal best in a UB uniform, and he also contributed a team-leading eight rebounds and blocked four shots in 29 minutes of playing time.
UB senior guard JoJo Swift (Brooklyn, N.Y.) notched a double-double for the winners with 20 points and 12 assists.
Junior Antoine Brown (Brooklyn, N.Y.) played a solid game for the Purple Knights scoring 15 points and grabbing seven boards.
Molloy's John Petrucelli had a monster double-double in a losing effort scoring a game-high 39 points and pulling down a game-best 13 rebounds.
The UB men's basketball team is back in action at Queens (N.Y.) College on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
