Dowling Snaps Men's Basketball's 12-Game Win Streak With 76-72 Win In Hubbell Gym
Top-Seeded Purple Knights Will Now Host Either Queens Or Molloy In Thursday Night's ECC Semifinal
Bridgeport, Conn.-Junior Justin Alexander broke a 72-72 tie with two free throws with 18.8 seconds to play and then iced the game with two more free throws with 3.5 seconds to go, as the Dowling College Golden Lions men's basketball team snapped the University of Bridgeport's 12-game winning streak with a 76-72 win in UB's Hubbell Gym on Saturday afternoon in the regular season finale for both teams. Dowling heads into next week's East Coast Conference Championship Tournament as the number six with an 11-15 overall record and an 8-10 conference mark.
