Rutherford, N.J.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team got off to a good start on the road versus the host Felician University Golden Falcons in New Jersey on Tuesday afternoon scoring two runs in the top of the first inning on RBIs from Craig Leonard (Grad., Holtsville, N.Y.) and Anthony Pascale (Jr., Stony Brook, N.Y.), but those would be the only runs the Purple Knights would score in the game, as Felician came back to post an 8-2 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference win. UB is now 6-15 overall and an even 2-2 in conference play. The Golden Falcons are now 11-17 overall and 4-2 in the CACC.
Leonard and Pascale led the nine-hit Bridgeport attack on Tuesday, as the each went 2-for-4 at the plate.
Up next, the UB baseball team continues play on the road with a Thursday doubleheader at Wilmington (Del.) University. First pitch is set for 12 noon.
