Myrtle Beach, S.C.-The University of Bridgeport baseball team banged out 10 total hits on Saturday afternnon, but the Purple Knights lost their first game of the 2020 season, as the LeMoyne College Dolphins raced out to a 9-0 lead after five innings on their way to a 15-2 victory in a game played in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. UB is now 2-1 on the young season, and LeMoyne moves to 4-3 on the year.
Sophomore Bobby Pollock (Coram, N.Y.) had two hits for the Purple Knights, and junior Stephen Giambra (Milford, Conn.) drove in his team's only run on the day.
UB will wrap up its South Carolina swing on Sunday morning with a 9:30 a.m. game versus Southern New Hampshire.
