Bio

Paul Spada was named the Purple Knights' Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in February of 2021. Spada arrived in Bridgeport after serving as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Division I Wofford College from the Fall of 2019 through the Spring of 2020.

Along with his time at Wofford, Spada also previously worked in the strength and conditioning programs at Louisiana State University, Yale University, and he earned a Master of Science degree from the University of New Haven in 2018 after serving as a Graduate Assistant for the Chargers.

Spada holds professional certifications from the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator, as well as being a Certified Level 1 Sports Performance Coach from USA Weightlifting.

A Connecticut native, Paul is a 2017 graduate of Central Connecticut State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and was a standout offensive lineman for the Blue Devils' football program.
