XC Teams Wrap Up 2017 Season At ECC Championship Meet

Old Westbury, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport men's and women's cross teams wrapped up their 2017 schedules on Saturday morning at the East Coast Conference Championships hosted by NYIT on Long Island.  The UB men took eighth place, and the Bridgeport women's finished in the ninth spot in their competition.

For the Purple Knight men, D'vonne Trumbo (Franklinville, N.J.) was the team's top finisher covering the 8K course in a time of 29:36.91 to take the 34th scoring place.

On the women's side, sophomore Tessa Lee (Seymour, Conn.) was the first Bridgeport runner across the line finishing in a time of 24:00.61 over the 5K course which put her in 43rd scoring place.
