Bio

After an extremely successful playing career with the Purple Knights, Maegen Doyle enters her first season as UB Women Soccer’s Head Assistant Coach. As a team captain, Maegen led the program to its first ever NCAA Division II National Championship in 2018. Doyle’s individual performances earned her the United Soccer Coaches and CCA All-America awarda, as well as several Conference, Regional and National Athletic and Academic Accolades. Most impressively, Doyle received the Division II National Player of the Year award and was a Finalist for the NCAA DII Honda award in 2018.

The native of Harwich, England, holds a BS degree in Marketing and a MS degree in Business Analytics & Systems from the University of Bridgeport.

Maegen holds several coaching certifications, and most recently assisted the Staples High School Girls’ Soccer team as the Varsity Assistant, helping Staples defend their FCAIC title. Currently coaching with Connecticut Football Club (CFC), Maegen has experience coaching teams and players within the Premier level. Furthermore, Maegen has also had various coaching roles with New Canaan Football Club for the past five years.

After speaking with Maegen regarding her new role she quoted: “I extremely grateful and beyond excited to be the new Head Assistant Coach for the University of Bridgeport Women’s Soccer Program. Many people will know how much this program personally means to me, so to step in and join the coaching staff is something I have always wanted. Knowing the program inside out, and what it takes to be successful at this level is only going to help me with my new role. I am eager and more driven than ever to share my passion, experience and coaching with the team. Hopefully I can contribute to helping the program win more titles!”
