UB Women's Lacrosse Named An IWLCA ZAG Sports Academic Honor Squad For Fourth Straight Season
Four Purple Knights Also Earn Spots On Individual Academic Honor Roll
Bridgeport, Conn.–For the fourth straight season, the University of Bridgeport women's lacrosse team is one of over 300 schools across NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA institutions that have been honored as a 2019 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honors Squads, plus four members of the team were also named to the IWLCA Zag Sports Division II Academic Honor Roll. To qualify for the team honor, the women's lacrosse program must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
Seniors Geovanna Ferreira (Danbury, Conn.), Amanda Fitzpatrick (New Hampton, N.Y.) and Isabella Theberge (Atkinson, N.H.) plus junior Barbara Orsini (N. Babylon, N.Y.) were the four Purple Knights who representing UB on the honor roll. Individuals named to the 2019 Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll must be a junior, senior or graduate student who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater during the academic year.
