Senior Courtney Forry And Freshman Danielle Kreitler Grab Weekly ECC Women's Lacrosse Awards
Helped The Purple Knights To Big Season -Opening Win Over AIC
West Babylon, N.Y.-Two University of Bridgeport women's lacrosee players, senior Courtney Forry (Reinholds, Pa.) and freshman Danielle Kreitler (Shelton, Conn.) have earned East Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors for their outstanding play in games from February 18 through 24, 2019. Forry earned Player of the Week honors, and Kreitler was named ECC Rookie of the Week.
Forry amassed 11 points in the Purple Knights' 20-6 season-opening win over AIC last Monday, scoring four goals and dishing off a whopping seven assists. Those four goals also gave Courtney 100 goals for her Bridgeport career making her the third player in program history to reach that milestone.
Kreitler was lights out in her Bridgeport debut last Monday helping her team that home victory over AIC, as she had 11 draw controls and scored two goals with three assists to amass five points. Danielle also picked up one ground ball in the win.
Courtney and Danielle plus their UB teammates will be back in action at Assumption on Tuesday afternoon.
