Bio

Becky Ferraro is in her 15th season coaching the University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics program in 2020-2021; her first in the role of Interim Head Coach. For the past 14 seasons, Ferraro assisted Coach Byron Knox through the team's six consecutive USAG National Titles from 2009-2014, as well as through the team's 2013 appearance in the NCAA Gymnastics Regional in Gainesville, Florida; making history as the second Division II program in history to qualify for the NCAA's. Throughout her career with the Knights, Ferraro boasts numerous National, Regional and Conference Assistant Coach of the Year accolades. Prior to coaching at UB, Becky was a member of the University of Bridgeport gymnastics team herself, under the training of the program's founder, Lorraine Duffy; as well as coach Byron Knox in her senior year on the team. Ferraro holds a Master’s degree from the University of Bridgeport in Elementary Education, and is a teacher librarian in Trumbull, CT.
