Gracen Kerr Selected As ECC Women's Basketball Rookie Of The Week For The Second Time This Season

West Babylon, N.Y.-For the second time this season, University of Bridgeport freshman Gracen Kerr (Ansonia, Conn./Kolbe Cathedral HS), has been selected as the East Coast Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week.

Kerr averaged 14.0 points, 5.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game for the Purple Knights last week helping her team go 1-1. In a win over Goldey-Beacom last Wednesday, she netted a game-high 19 points and added four rebounds and three assists. Versus Pace, Gracen dished off seven assists and scored nine points to lead UB. So far this season, Kerr is the team scoring leader averaging 13.0 points, plus she is tops on her squad in assists and steals.

Kerr also was selected as the ECC Rookie of the Week on November 25, 2019.

This week, Gracen and her teammates open East Coast Conference play at home on Wednesday evening at 5:00 p.m. against the University of the District of Columbia and also host American International College on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
