Both UB Cross Country Teams Take Fourth Place At LIU Post Invitational

Brookville, N.Y.- The University of Bridgeport cross country teams were in action for the second time this season on Saturday, as the Purple Knights ran in the 2017 LIU Post Pioneer Invitational on Long Island. Both the men's and women's team took fourth place in their respective races.

For the men, senior Dieukenson Francois (Bridgeport, Conn.) was the first UB runner across the finish line for the second straight meet taking 20th scoring place with a time of 28:64.12 over the 8K course.

For the women, sophomore Tessa Lee (Seymour, Conn.) was the top Purple Knights' finisher taking 17th scoring place with a time of 25:27.29 over the 5K course.

Next week, the Bridgeport cross country teams will be in action at the Mt. Saint Mary Invitational.
