Bridgeport Men's Soccer Falls 1-0 At Franklin Pierce To End Season-Opening Road Trip

Rindge, N.H-Franklin Pierce's Cristobal Andrea scored the only goal of the match at 68:18 mark of action off a free kick play to lift the host Franklin Pierce University Ravens to a 1-0 victory over the visiting University of Bridgeport Purple Knights in non-conference men's soccer action on Sunday afternoon in New Hampshire.  With the win, FPU is now 2-0-0 on the season, and the Purple Knights remain winless ay 0-2-0 on the young season.

The Raven outshot Bridgeport, 13-10 on the afternoon, including a 7-4 advantage in the second half.

UB senior Leandro Avila (Panama City, Panama) led the Purple Knights with four shot attempts in the match, including perhaps his team's best scoring opportunity when he hit the left post with 15 minutes to play in the first half.

Purple Knights goalkeeper Carlos Tofern (So., Hamburg, Germany) made five saves in the contest, and the Raven's Clay Thomas had three saves to record the shutout.
