WASHINGTON, DC– Trailing 4-0 late in the second half, the University of Bridgeport men's soccer team staged a rally that fell just short in the East Coast Conference matchup against the host, University of the District of Columbia Firebirds on Wednesday afternoon in out Nation's Captial falling, 4-2. UB is now 5-4-0 overall and 2-3-0 in the ECC. UDC ups its season mark to 4-5-1 overall, and the Firebirds are now 2-2-0 in conference play.
Scoring for the Purple Knights were junior Mamadou Traore (Bronx, N.Y.) and graduate student Marlon Montanella (Cannes, France).
Up next, the Bridgeport men's soccer team will look to get back in the win column against Daemen during Bridgeport's Homecoming Weekend on Saturday afternoon. Action is slated to get underway in the Park City at 3:00 p.m.
