Philadelphia, Pa.-The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team saw its three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday afternoon in the City of Brotherly Love, as the Purple Knights fell to the host Jefferson University Rams, 76-58, in a non-conference contest. With the loss, Bridgeport is now 4-2, and Jefferson moves to 6-1 with the victory.
Senior D'Vonne Trumbo (Pilesgrove, N.J.) led the Purple Knights in scoring with points and rebounding with seven boards. He also added four assists and two steals on the day.
Classmate Bakary Camara (Harlem, N.Y.) also reached double-digit scoring with 14 points for UB.
Josh Bradanese led the Rams with 23 points.
Up next, the UB men's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of Hubbell Gym to open East Coast Conference play on Wednesday night when UB host the University of the District of Columbia. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
