Bio

Ian Ratchford is entering his first season at the University of Bridgeport. He will work with the hitters and coach first base. He will also work with the infielders and outfielders on the defensive side as well as assist in recruiting student athletes.

Ian played collegiately at UConn Avery Point before transferring to Post University where he finished his career. Ian spent the last three years coaching at Western Connecticut State University where he was the junior varsity coach and a varsity assistant working primarily with the infielders and implemented defensive game plans.  In his time at Western he helped the Colonials reach the Little East Conference Championship. Ian also is an assistant coach for the Danbury Westerners of the NECBL in the summer and also served as an assistant with the Front Royal Cardinals of the Valley Baseball League.

Ian is a graduate of Post University where he majored in Legal Studies. He resides in Bridgeport, CT.
