What is your favorite UB memory: It was a cold windy 6:30 am morning. we struck out 34 times the day before and coach T wasn’t happy. Instead of running, like any great American man would do, he gave us a chance to save ourselves. He takes out a basketball and says “Rinaldi, take the shot”; Rinaldi responds, “You’re going to pick a kid from Waterbury”? Nobody had faith in Tom, but Tom did. He took the shot, it seemed to be in the air forever sure enough… SWISH, all net! The team erupted in excitement and chased Tom around the gym and on that day the legend of Tom Rinaldi was born.
