Purple Knights Continue Action In Florida On Tuesday With A 2:00 p.m. Rematch With the Falcons And A 6:00 p.m. Tilt Versus Rollins
Winter Park, Fla.-the University of Bridgeport baseball team saw 2013 season record slip to
2-4 overall on Monday, s the Purple Knights fell to the Bentley University Falcons, 17-1, in a game that was played at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
The Falcons plated three runs in the bottom of third inning and added five more in the bottom of the fifth to grab an 8-0 lead as thee cruised to their fifth win of 2013 (5-6 overall).
Freshman Alec Jannotta (Branford, Conn.) homered for UB's only run of the day, and junior John Ascenzia (West Haven, Conn.) went two for three for the Purple Knights.
Starter Chris Maull (Winslow, N.J.), who is now 0-2, took the loss for UB.
The Purple Knights continue their 2012 Spring Trip to Florida with two games on Tuesday as they have a rematch with Bentley at 2:00 p.m., and they taken on the Rollins College Tars at 6:00 p.m.
