Women's & Men's Cross Country Wrap Up 2019 Seasons With Seventh Place Finishes At ECC Championship Meet

Old Westbury, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport cross country teams wrapped up their 2019 season on Saturday morning at the East Coast Conference Championship Meet hosted by New York Tech on Long Island.  Both UB squads finished in seventh place on the day with the men compiling 200 points, as Roberts Wesleyan won with a total score of 19 points, and the women scored 214 points to finish behind RWC in first with 19 points.

On the men's side, senior Kari Hassinen  (Helsinki, Finland) completed the 8K course in a time of 32:30.54 to finish in 30th scoring place.

Senior Ashley Arroyo (Hamden, Conn.) was the top Bridgeport women's team finisher, as she covered the 5K course in a time of 26:24.33, good for the 40th scoring place.
