Cross Country Teams Compete At NJIT Highlander Invitational
Women Take 16th Place And Men Finish In 14th Spot In Division II/II Race

Newark, N.J.-The University of Bridgeport men's and women's cross country teams competed at the NJIT Highlander Invitational on Saturday, and the men's team took 14th place and the women finished in the 16th position in the Division II/III competition.
For the women, sophomore Tessa Lee (Seymour, Conn.) was the top Purple Knights' finisher taking the 64th scoring place with a time of 23:29.77 over the 5K course.
For the men, junior D'vonne Trumbo (Franklinville, N.J.) was the team's top finisher over the 8K course in a time of 31:19.36, good for 51st scoring place.
Next Saturday, the Bridgeport cross country teams will be in action on Long Island at the St. Joseph's (NY) College Invitational.
