Bridgeport Volleyball Rolls To Win Number 22 Of The Season With Sweep At Roberts Wesleyan
UB Now 22-6 Overall And 7-2 In The ECC
Rochester, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's volleyball team opened its weekend road swing to Western New York on Saturday with a straight sets, 25-12, 25-16, 25-7, win over the host Roberts Wesleyan College Redhawks. Bridgeport is now 22-6 overall and 7-2 in the East Coast Conference. RWC slips to 2-21 overall and 2-7 in the ECC.
Sophomore Amanda Keller (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) led the UB offense with 12 kills, and she hit .526 for the match. Senior Emily Burford (Albuquerque, N.M.) also chipped in double-digit kills for the winners with 10.
Junior Klein Johnson (San Antonio, Texas) dished off a team-leading 15 assists for Bridgeport, and sophomore Carly Killorin (Centennial, Colo.) added 13 assists and five service aces on the day.
On defense, sophomore Breanna Jones (Littleton, Colo.) led the Purple Knight's backline with 13 digs.
Up next, the Bridgeport women's volleyball team will wrap up its Western New York road trip and 2019 regular season at Daemen College on Sunday at 12 noon.
