Rockville Center, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's volleyball team saw its 2017 season come to an end on Friday night, as the fourth seeded Purple Knights fell to the top-seeded and host Molloy College Lions in straight sets, 16-25, 23-25, 23-25. UB wraps up the season with a 12-16 record, and the Lions move to the ECC Championship Final on Saturday with a 24-5 mark.
Sophomore Amanda Hennemann (Nova Petropolis, Brazil) led UB with 13 kills, and junior Ellie Rich (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) had 34 assists.
Freshman Olivia Storaci (Longmont, Colo.) led Bridgeport with 23 digs, and classmate Klein Johnson (San Antonio, Texas) chipped in 13 digs for the Purple Knights' defense.
