West Haven, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's volleyball team saw its three-match winning streak snapped on Thursday evening at the University of New Haven, as the host Chargers topped the Purple Knights in straight sets in a non-conference contest, 25-21, 25-19, 25-17. UB is now 11-12 overall, and UNH ups its overall record to 16-7.
Freshman Klein Johnson (San Antonio, Texas) led the UB offense with seven kills on the night.
Bridgeport junior setter Ellie Rich (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) had 19 assists on the night, and classmate Lexi Enck (Lititz, Pa.) had a team-leading 13 digs.
Up next, the UB women's volleyball team returns to East Coast Conference action at home when the Purple Knights host Queens (N.Y.) College on Tuesday night in Hubbell Gym. First serve is slated for 7:00 p.m.
