Volleyball Moves To 3-0 On The Season With Wins Over Bentley And New Haven
Purple Knights Sweep Three Matches At UNH Classic

West Haven, Conn.-The UB volleyball picked up a pair of big early season regional wins on Saturday afternoon at the University of New Haven Classic defeating Bentley University, 3-0 (25-13, 28-26, 25-15) and the host UNH Chargers, 3-1 (25-23, 16-25, 26-24, 25-21). The wins up head coach Leo Uzcategui's squad's early season record to an unblemished 3-0.
In the Bentley match, graduate student Agatha Baliddawa (Jinja, Uganda) led the team with 16
kills. She was joined in double-figure kills by
Ivana Kovacevic-Jurasin (Grad., Belgrade, Serbia)
with 12 and senior Terry Masava (Nairobi, Kenya)
with 10.
In the win over New Haven, Kovacevic-Jurasin led UB with 19
kills, and Baliddawa chipped in 17.
The Purple Knights will next be in action at the Bentley Tournament in Waltham. Mass. next Friday and Saturday, September 10th and 11th.
