Women's Swimming Earns Narrow 101-98 Dual Meet Victory At LIU Post
Purple Knights Will Be Back In Action On November 18th At BU Terrier Invitational
Brookville, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's swimming team upped its season record to 6-1 with a hard-fought, dual meet road win over the host LIU Post Pioneers on Saturday afternoon on Long Island, as the Purple Knights topped their hosts by a narrow 101-98 margin.
Junior Annagrazia Bonsanti (Caracas, Venezuela) helped her team pick up the victory by winning two events on the day taking first place in the 1000 Free (10:25.67) and the 500 Free (5:06.67).
Other individual winners for UB on Saturday were sophomore Clara Mico Gonzalez (Madrid, Spain) in the 200 Butterfly (2:17.33), junior Rebeka Repman (Sombor, Serbia) in the 200 Free (1:55.53) and graduate student Jera Majeric (Prevalje, Slovenia) in the 200 Back (2:10.89).
After an off weekend, the Bridgeport women's swimming team will return to the pool at the BU Huskie Invitational that will begin in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday, November 18.
