Bio

Fellipe Ribeiro enters his third season as the Head Assistant Coach of the University of Bridgeport Women’s Soccer Program in 2016. This is Ribeiro’s fifth season with the Purple Knights. He served for two seasons as an Assistant Coach on the University of Bridgeport Men’s Soccer Program before making the switch in the Spring of 2014. Fellipe’s responsibilities include coordinating the group of assistant coaches, on-field coaching, training session planning, recruiting, and scouting. During his time with the Men’s Program he helped the team to back-to-back ECC Conference Semi-finals. Since joining the Women’s as the Head Assistant Coach, Fellipe has posted an impressive 39-7-3 record. In 2014, the team reached the ECC Conference Championship and advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament for the seventh time in eight years. In 2015, Fellipe played a vital role in the Women’s Soccer Program record shattering season. The Purple Knights posted a program-high 21-2-1 record reclaiming the ECC Regular Season Title and the Conference Championship and for the eight time in nine years qualified for the NCAA Tournament. UBWS continued its successful run winning the first NCAA Regional Champion Title before advancing to the NCAA National Tournament Final Four round. Fellipe’s successful season as the Head Assistant Coach was acknowledged in December of 2015 when he was nominated for the 2015 NSCAA National Assistant Coach of the Year award.

Ribeiro a native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Advanced Diploma and a USSF “C” License. Over the past eight years, Ribeiro has quickly risen up the ranks of youth coaches in the Fairfield County area. His love and passion for teaching the game of soccer has led him to coach in every level of the youth game. Ribeiro has served as the Assistant Coach for the U17/18 USSDA Member Beachside Soccer Club of CT. Fellipe also served as the Head Coach for 2014 and 2016 State Cup Champions and nationally ranked Beachside Soccer Club of CT’s 1998/99 Girls. In the Fall of 2016 Ribeiro will be joining the CFC United coaching staff where he will work with ECNL and NPL teams.
