Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team fell to the visiting Thomas Jefferson University Rams on Saturday afternoon at Knights Field, 2-0, in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opener for both teams. With the loss, UB is now 1-2-2 overall and 0-1-0 in the CACC. Jefferson is now 2-2-1 overall and 1-0-0 in conference action.
The Rams scored both their goals on Saturday in the first half opening the scoring in the 10th minute and then scoring again with just 18 seconds to play in the opening stanza.
Junior Angelina LoFranco (Greenacres, Fla.) led the Purple Knights in shots on Saturday with three of her team's 12 total.
Jefferson's Liv Riddel made four saves to earn the clean sheet.
Up next, the UB women's soccer closes out its four-match homestand with a non-conference game on Wednesday night against Molloy University. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
