Nic Worthington And Idoia Agirre Selected As NSCAA NCAA Division II Women's Soccer All-Americans
Purple Knights Earn Several More National Soccer Coaches Association of America Honors
Bridgeport, Conn.-The National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) announced their 2016 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer All-America Teams on Thursday morning, and University of Bridgeport senior, midfielder Nicola Worthington (Chorley, England) earned a First Team selection and graduate student, forward Idoia Agirre (Legazpi, Spain) was named a Third Team NSCAA All-America. The duo of Worthington and Agirre plus senior, defender Flo Gamby (Goffs Oak, England) earned NSCAA All-East Region First Team honors, and sophomores, goalkeeperJennifer Wendelius (Lidingo, Sweden) and midfielder Ariana Weingrad (Hicksville, N.Y.) were selected as Second Team 2016 NSCAA All-East Region picks.
