Purple Knights Move To Top Of NCAA Women's Soccer Regional Rankings
UB Opens Play In ECC Championship Tournament At Home Tonight Versus Roberts Wesleyan At 6:00 PM
Indianapolis, Indiana-Along with being ranked number seven in the nation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, the University of Bridgeport women's soccer team, under the direction of head coach Magnus Nilerud, has moved to the number one spot in the final NCAA East Regional Rankings of the 2016 season published before the announcement of this season's NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship field on Monday evening, November 7th.
The Purple Knights, who are currently 14-3-0 on the season and winners of 11 straight matches, open play in this year's East Coast Championship Tournament with a semifinal final home match versus Roberts Wesleyan College at 6:00 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, Nov. 2nd). The winner of the UB/RWC contest will face LIU Post on Friday for the 2016 ECC Women's Soccer Title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship Tournament.
