UB Makes Fourth Straight NCAA Trip; Finishes The Season At 14-4-2 Overall
Albany, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team saw its 2010 season come to end on Sunday afternoon in the Second Round of the NCAA Division II Championship Tournament, as the nation's number ranked team, the College of St. Rose Golden Knights posted a 1-0 home win to remain undefeated on the season at 22-0-0 and advance to Friday's East Regional Final where they will face C.W. Post University. Bridgeport ends the 2010 season, which saw the Purple Knights makes their fourth straight trip to the NCAA Championship Tournament, with a 14-4-2 record.
St. Rose junior midfielder Brittany Godin scored the only goal of the match just 10:12 into first half action.
Bridgeport junior goalkeeper Julia Colley (Harlow, England) was outstanding on the day making nine saves to keep UB in the match the entire afternoon, as she faced a total of 26 shots for the Golden Knights.
