Dimaio of Women's Lacrosse Named CACC Player of the Week
The sophomore totaled nine goals and three assists in a 1-1 week.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following two more great performances, sophomore Tara Dimaio of the University of Bridgeport women's lacrosse team has been named the CACC Player of the Week. Dimaio had previously been selected as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week last Monday.
Dimaio was sensational in leading the Purple Knights to a 20-10 win over Saint Michael's on Saturday. The Long Island native poured in a career-high 10 points off seven goals and three assists. She also added two ground balls and two caused turnovers in the win.
Dimaio began the week with a two-goal performance at Southern Connecticut State. She is now slotted fifth in the CACC in goals (19) this season while leading the league in ground balls (20).
Dimaio and the rest of the Purple Knights will return to action on Saturday when they host STAC at noon.
