Sophomore Barbara Orsini Scores A Single-Game Program Record 10 Goals In 21-3 Women's Lacrosse Win At UDC

Washington, D.C.-The University of Bridgeport women's lacrosse team snapped a two-game losing streak on Sunday afternoon, as the Purple Knights scored a single-game, season-high in goals, as Bridgeport topped the host University of the District of Columbia Firebirds, 21-3, in our nation's capital.  UB is now 6-8 overall and 3-4 in East Coast Conference play.  UDC slips to 1-12 overall and 0-7 in the ECC.

UB sophomore Barbara Orsini (N. Babylon, N.Y.) set a single-game program record for goals scored at UDC, as she netted 10 and finished the day 12 points, as she also had two assists.

Junior Courtney Forry (Reinholds, Pa.) finished with nine points on the afternoon, as she had five goals and contributed four assists.

Sophomore goalie Cheyanne Gangel (Oakridge, N.J.) made seven saves to earn her sixth victory of 2018.

The UB women's lacrosse team will close out its 2018 regular season on Wednesday afternoon at Mercy College.  Game time is slated for 4:00 p.m.
