Senior Lauren Mengel Named Second Team All-ECC For Women's Lacrosse
Tied For The Team Lead In Points With 39 This Season
Central Islip, N.Y.-Senior Lauren Mengel (Gilbertsville, Pa.) has been selected to the 2017 All-East Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Second Team.
Mengel helped the Purple Knights post a 9-6 overall record in 2017 and a 3-5 conference record, as she tied for the team lead in points with 39, as she netted 29 goals and dished off 10 assists. She also led UB with 42 draw controls and 41 ground balls and was second in caused turnover at 26.
During the season, Lauren became only the third player in UB women's lacrosse history to surpass the 100-career point plateau.
