Gymnastics Places Third for Best-Ever Finish at GEC's
Purple Knights secured a team score of 193.150 to finish behind just Penn and Yale.
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Competing in the night session for the first time, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics team posted its best-ever finish at the Gymnastics East Conference Championships on Saturday courtesy of a third-place performance. The Purple Knights totaled a score of 193.150 which ended up behind just Penn (195.700) and Yale (194.125).

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
Lola Sepulveda and Nova Staruk put together UB's top placements courtesy of tying for third on vault. The duo registered marks of 9.800. Staruk has earned at least that score in six consecutive meets.
Another 9.800 was secured by Olivia Imbarlina on beam, which was good for a fourth-place finish. Imbarlina's performance served as her highest score since the first meet of the season.
Samantha Nokes, Abby Kenney, and Maggie Coyle also all posted top-10 marks on Saturday.
Nokes and Kenney each maneuvered 9.750's on bars to finish tied for sixth while Coyle logged the same mark on floor to finish in 10th. Kenney also snagged a 9.700 on floor to place 13th.
More UB highlights included a trio of top-15 performances from sophomore Emily Hernandez. The California native tallied a 9.650 on vault, a 9.550 on beam and a 9.700 on bars.
