Women's Gymnastics Posts Second Highest Team Score Of The Season At Brown On Friday Night
Purple Knights Finish With A Team Total Of 189.250
Providence, R.I.-For the second straight meet, the University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics team travel to Providence, Rhode Island for a dual meet at Brown University. On Friday, the Purple Knights tuned in their second highest team score of the 2022 season, as they were defeated by the Bears, 193.500-189.200.
As a team, UB scored 47.700 on the balance beam, 46.725 on the vault, 47.350 on the bars and 47.475 in the floor exercise.
Freshman Kiana Session (Chandler, Az.) had a fine evening, as she she was the Purple Knights top individual finisher in the floor exercise, as she tied for second place with a score of 9.750, and she was sixth on the vault at 9.625. Session topped the all-around standings on Friday night with a total of 38.375 in the four events.
Senior Kathryn Doran (Oakville, Ontario, Canada) shined for the Purple Knights on the bars as always on Friday posting a 9.825 to take second place in that event.
Freshman Olivia Imbarlina (Pittsburgh, Pa.) was UB top finisher on the balance beam, as she tied for third with a score of 9.725.
Along with Session topping the all-around standings, graduate student Alexis Richardson (Coram, N.Y.) was next with a total of 337.550, and freshman Catherine Aucoin (Austin, Tex.) completed the all-around finishers with a score of 36.975.
Up next, the UB women's gymnastics team will travel to the University of Maryland for a quad meet on Sunday afternoon at 12 noon.
