UB's Kathryn Doran And Kelli Tereshko Earn Weekly ECAC Division II Women's Gymnastics Awards
Duo Shined On Saturday At Temple University's Ken Anderson Invitational
Danbury, Conn.-A pair of University of Bridgeport women's gymnasts have been recognized by the ECAC with weekly conference Division II awards for their fine performance at the Ken Anderson Invitational hosted by Temple University last Saturday afternoon. UB freshman Kathryn Doran (Oakville, Ontario, Canada) has been chosen the Gymnast of the Week, and for the second consecutive week, UB senior Kelli Tereshko (Madison, Indiana) has been selected as the ECAC Division II Women's Gymnastics Specialist of the Week.
Doran, who earlier this season was named ECAC Rookie of the Week, posted a top score for the all-around with a mark of 38.600 in Philadelphia. She highlighted her day with a score of 9.800 for her bars routine. Her vault score marked a 9.5000, a beam routine of 9.725 and a floor score of 9.525 completed her score in the all-around competition.
Tereshko tied her teammate Doran on the bars with a fine score of 9.800.
This weekend, the University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics team travels to Texas Women's University for a quad meet in the Lone Star State on Sunday afternoon.
